Candy canes can be really nice, but they break very easily. With this protective case you start printing, then put the cane into the box, and when it's finished printing the cane will be secure. The end-caps will allow the recipient of the box to look at the cane and marvel. It's very doubtful they can get it out from the box without ruining both the cane and the box; but that is their own problem and if it breaks it's their own fault. My goal was to keep the Candy Cane safe. What can I do if they bring an axe or powertools? Start printing the box. Place the candy cane on the heated print bed; after about an hour you can bend it slightly to make it easier to iert it into the box. When it's about finished with the vertical walls, iert the candy cane. I did this without stopping the printer; when it prints one of the long stretches of the wall I just ierted it. Print the caps. Fill in the text with some nice colour, I used a gold coloured pen. Give to a friend Profit During this project I also learned that minor cracks in a candy cane can be repaired by placing them on a heated printer bed for an hour or two.
