As i wasnt ready to rewire another fan onto the control board to seperate the part cooling from the extruder cooling, this is a replacement for the fan shroud that comes mounted to the hot end of Monoprice Select Mini printe. This new shroud fits any 40mm fan with M3 bolts. The angle of the fan and shroud are optimized to mazimise airflow and minimize pressure loss. It is designed to have a clear air path to both the heatsink and the extruder with as little change of direction as possible. This mea it should work well with fa with a low static pressure.
I use a Delta 12V DC, 0.16A server fan: Air flow 9.46CFM, Static Pressure 0.272 inH20
The clearance between the bottom of the shroud and the print bed is about 1-2mm.
The shroud is easy to mount with a flat piece at the top of the model which holds the assembly in place after the fit spring is attached While the model still uses the same retaining springs, the tabs are a little bit easier to get the spring around.
