With my fat thumbs, I have trouble getting the wire to be in the right position when crimping Dupont and other connecto. This design uses an alligator clip and a small printed piece to allow the wire to be correctly positioned and held long enough to squeeze the tabs over the iulation. Using needle nosed plie you can squeeze the tabs enough to hold the wire and connector together so they can be positioned in the crimper by just holding the wire. Make sure the part is attached to the alligator clip jaw that doesn't have the center tooth. This tooth must clamp on the wire. This set includes parts to hold the following connecto: Male and Female 2.54mm dupont connecto Male and Female 2.54mm JST-SM connecto Female 2.54 JST-XH connecto Also handles are provided to attach to the alligator clip to keep the clip from twisting and to make the operation easier. The following are the parts I used to design these parts:
Printed at .2 layer resolution with .4mm nozzle. Support needed only for the overhang of the alligator clip handle.
