My own take on a Cycloidal gearbox, loosely based on this video i saw on youtube: Originally I used printed spur gea to drive it, which worked great until they melted. I ended up purchasing some metal ones itead. The cycloids don't seem to generate much heat at all, and I have not had any problems with the ball bearings heating up. Still, lubricating the ball bearings would be a good idea.
