Holga 120 CFN Release Cable Adapter
The Holga 120 Medium Format Toy Camera was equipped with a bulb mode, but no place for your cable release. There were a limited production of official adapte for the cable release, but if your like me, the prices are overpriced by hundreds of dolla and have turned to 3D printing to create a fix.
The original design by @morcedeb did not work for my Holga 120 CFN. Most notably the mounting hole on the bottom did not align with the tripod mount. I've made the bottom hole longer and wider. I've also added a 0.5mm ID increase where the mount is located to glide over the mount smoothly.
There is a cut out for a nut at the bottom of the cable release. As you can see in my pictures, the nut was not necessary. The cable release self tapped the hole and holds perfectly!
For Future improvements:
I want to lower the distance to the shutter button. I find that my cheap A**Express K1000 shutter release cable has too much play and sometimes does not actuate the shutter button. I can press and lock the cable and manually fire the shutter, and it will hold. Not ideal, but it works. I think if I adjust the position of where the cable is mounted a tad lower it may work 100%. But I'll leave that for another day.
