The Condor is an open-source quadplane UAV project developed with aerial surveillance in mind. It features a 4+1 layout (quadcopter + tractor) with a high-aspect-ratio wing and a V-tail airframe. With a maximum take-off mass of 7.8 kg, Condor was designed for 3 hou endurance on internal batteries, or up to 5 hou with additional, externally mounted packs. Its large rectangular wing also makes it well suited for solar energy project reached the prototyping stage, but was postponed before the fit flight. The prototype was half-complete when I had to focus elsewhere. Since then, I’ve learned a lot and would design many elements differently today, but I remain very satisfied with the concept, and plan to create a 3D-printable veion in the future.I hope Condor will serve as ipiration for builde, UAV develope, and aviation love. Any donatio are greatly appreciated, and will help me dedicate more time to projects like design is shared for educational and experimental purposes only.
