This was a $300 build (not including electronics) (from mostly scrap materials) that has seen near-daily use with 50A plasma since 2017. V-wheels, phenolic resin rails, K rails, and XL pulleys and belts, NEMA 23 steppe, NEMA 17 with captive lead (Amazon 3D printer grade) and brass nut, and inductive seo. Off the shelf fastene. Plasma cut steel parts with easy bends. Phenolic rails were cut and grooved on a CNC router phenolic rails haven't worn and v-wheels haven't needed adjustments since initial assembly. Inaccuracies in Z axis (Chinese trapezoidal lead with sloppy "brass" nut) are eliminated during operation by the torch height controller. A USB "microscope" camera was added in 2020 for positioning torch/material and for measurements not related to cutting.
